Fran Bio At the age of 49, after becoming aware of how very short life is, Fran decided to chase their dreams. An Intersex artist, Fran produces music that resonates and brings pleasure to the audience - particularly feeling an affinity with songs that explore experiences never before conveyed through EDM. Fran has the #1 song on Western.Oz top 20 for 2023 (I Am What I Am), has been nominated for WAM Song of the Year 2021 with “For Phil, My Brother”, their song For Andrea made Triple H 96.5FM’s ‘Best track review list 2022’ alongside the likes of Golden Features and Deadmau5, and their music has been played widely on radio including Triple J and Triple J unearthed. In 2023 Fran played a DJ set for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Perth and in October was also part of the team that won a Guinness Book of World Records for Worlds Longest B2B DJ set. She then turned their attention to Film and won Best Movie Theme in the New York Film Award (ONIROS) for their theme song in the film The Housemate. Fran has now extended their creativity to filmmaking, with the debut film, Castle. Fran has already won Best Comedy for the film at the LA Independent Women Film Awards for the film, which she directed, produced, wrote and composed the soundtrack and co-composed the score (alongside Morgan Then of Slumberjack). Castle is due to be released during 2024.
